A participatory workshop in collective image-making using PathPaint, a software-as-art digital painting application by Andrew Rosinski. Each workshop is preceded by a multimedia lecture: “A Brief History of Computer Painting.” Participants BYOD (Bring Your Own Device: smartphone, tablet), and in timed intervals, create digital paintings on their own devices in response to computationally generated poetic text prompts. Thereafter, an algorithm curates a concatenated sequence of the computer paintings which will be risograph printed and showcased for public exhibition at Secret Riso Club from April 10 – April 17, with an audiovisual performance on the opening night. Presented by Page Bureau and RELATED DEPARTMENT, in conjunction with their new publication Follow the Butterflies by Andrew Rosinski.
